Looking for a little advice on front brake rotor selection. The car is a 93 convert TT with about 525 whp. I don't race it other than an occasional 1/4 mile run at the track, to test things, & see how upgrades are affecting it's times. It has stock 30mm front calipers. I upgraded to Hawk HPS pads, which greatly improved my stopping power. However, I still had on stock rotors. The extra heat the Hawk pads created, caused those rotors to warp within a few days. So I did a small upgrade to cheap drilled & slotted rotors, figuring they would dissipate heat better & wouldn't warp. Those made it 2 weeks before warping. The stopping power I have now is fine for street use, so I'm not looking to upgrade calipers, and I'm probably not going to get bigger rotors either, since I'm happy with it's stopping power for street use. I think I just want something stock size that won't warp with upgraded pads, & I'm looking for suggestions. I'm sick of warped rotors. Something cryotreated maybe? I actually think I'm going to put my baby up for sale shortly, so I just want it to brake good again & give it reliable braking for a resonable price. I just ordered new leather from interior innovations, I'm going to repaint the front to take care of some rock chips, I'll do the brakes, & then I think I'm going to sell it, & buy a different turbo convertible. I am either getting a Mercedes SL600 V12 Bi-Turbo, or a SL55 AMG V8 Supercharged. After 8 years, I will definitely miss the Z, but that is the longest I have ever owned a car, and it's time to cross a few other cars off of my bucket list, starting with a Mercedes SL.
